MCHS is renewing certification as a Common Sense school by engaging our students in Common Sense Digital Citizenship curriculum.  The Common Sense Digital Citizenship initiative focuses on educating and instilling safe and responsible technology practices in our students through developing skills that include the ability to collaborate with others, think critically, communicate effectively, and adapt to a changing world landscape.

Common Sense helps students learn the habits and skills they need to use technology safely and responsibly in school, at home, and in different areas of life.  The digital world requires skills and habits that students don't learn by using technology.  Digital Citizenship helps them learn skills, including reflecting on their tech use, understanding how media is designed to keep their attention, recognizing online hate speech, considering how what they post can affect their future, and spotting hoaxes and misinformation.
