Why Take AP?
Students at Mt Carmel who plan to attend a four-your college or university are highly encouraged to complete one or more Advanced Placement (AP) courses during their high school career. These courses are designed to help students prepare for a successful college or university experience.
Your course selection in March determines staffing for all classes, so you are committed to continuing your chosen AP course for all three trimesters. Students interested in taking an AP course should attend the informational sessions offered and view the videos below.

New this year.
Master Schedule and staffing decisions are based upon student course requests and determine what courses will be offered the following year. When students request classes through the course selection process much work goes into ensuring that the appropriate number of courses, taught by qualified teachers are made available. Therefore, once a student requests enrollment in an Advanced Placement class, we are unable to drop them. They must see through their commitment to the program. AP Agreement
